Day 1: London - Beijing.
Depart for Beijing.

Day 2: Beijing.
Arrive in the Chinese capital and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Temple of Heaven.

Day 3: Beijing.
Full day guided tour to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall.  

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an.
Visit Tiananmen Square, and the adjacent Forbidden City, former home to China’s emperors. In the afternoon visit the Summer Palace before transferring to the station for the overnight sleeper train to Xi’an.

Day 5: Xi'an.
Arrive in Xi’an and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon a city tour of Xi’an.  

Day 6: Xi'an.
The highlight of your visit to Xi’an, the excursion to the famous excavations of the Terracotta Warriors. Return to Xi’an for free time.  

Day 7: Xi'an - Chengdu.
Fly to Chengdu and check in to your hotel. Free day in Chengdu.

Day 8: Chengdu - Leshan - Emeishan.
Visit the Chengdu Panda Breeding Centre. Drive to Leshan for the river cruise beneath the breathtaking Leshan Buddha. Continue to the scenic mountain region of Emeishan.  

Day 9: Emeishan.
Full day at Emeishan Mountain. Arrive By cable car to Jinding Si (Golden Summit Temple), for wonderful views across the region.

Day 10: Emeishan - Chengdu.
Return to Chengdu. Free time in Chengdu.  

Day 11: Chengdu - Chongqing - Cruise Boat.
Drive to Dazu for the magnificent Buddhist carvings. Then board your cruise boat at Chongqing for your journey along the Yangtze.

Day 12: Yangtze Cruise.
Depart Chongqing, with a morning shore excursion to the Ghost City of Fengdu.  

Day 13: Yangtze Cruise.
Pass through the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Then moor up and visit the picturesque Shennong Lesser Gorges.

Day 14: Yichang - Shanghai.
Sail through the longest gorge, the Xiling. Arrive Yichang for a city tour including the site of the Three Gorges dam project. Fly to Shanghai.  

Day 15: Shanghai.
City tour to include Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Yuan Garden, and Shanghai Museum. Afternoon at leisure.  

Day 16: Shanghai - London.
Depart Shanghai.
